The figures you enter stay in your browser

The numbers you enter stay in your browser and are never sent. They are kept on this device only if you ask the modeler to keep them. To show a price, the page asks this site's price service for one stock symbol (the Qualcomm modeler as it opens, the general modeler when you press the button). Nothing you enter goes with it.

There is no account to create, no email address collected to use the tools, and nothing for you to sign up for.

What your browser keeps

Two things, both on your device only.

The modeler keeps your numbers only if you ask it to, using the control at the foot of the modeler's inputs. If you do, they stay in this browser on this device until you turn it off or clear your site data, and they are never sent anywhere. Turning it off removes them. If you do not turn it on, the modeler keeps nothing and closing the tab discards your numbers.

Your planning brief keeps a copy of its own figures for as long as that tab is open, so reloading it or sending it to print does not lose your numbers. Closing the tab discards it. Files you choose to download, a calendar file or a PDF of your brief, are made on this page and saved where you choose. Nothing is sent to make them.

What does leave your browser, and what it is

Three things, none of which carries your figures.

  • One stock symbol, to show a price. The modeler asks this site's own price service for it: a company's modeler as it opens, the general modeler only when you press the button. That service gets the price from a market-data provider, Finnhub, which sees this site's server and never your browser. It remembers the last price it got for each symbol, with its date, so it can show a dated prior close when the provider is down.
  • Ordinary request logs. This site is hosted by Netlify, and like any web host it keeps logs of the requests your browser makes, including your IP address and browser type. How long those are kept is Netlify's arrangement, not mine.
  • Links you click. Links to the IRS and the other sources cited here, to Calendly and to LinkedIn open those sites, only when you click them.

Nothing else is requested. There is no analytics, the fonts are served from this site, and no script or style comes from anywhere else.

A brief link carries your figures after its # sign. A browser never sends that part of a link to any server, so opening a brief sends nothing. Anyone you give the link to can read the figures in it.

Booking a conversation

The scheduling links open Calendly, a separate service with its own privacy notice. What you enter there is handled by Calendly and reaches me. Nothing from the tool is attached to it, and your figures are not passed along.

What this site does not do

No analytics, no advertising pixels, no tracking cookies, and no third-party code. I do not sell your information, and I do not build a profile of you.

Your rights

The tool creates no account and keeps no copy of your figures, so there is nothing of that kind to request or delete. To remove what your own browser has kept, clear this site's data in your browser settings.

My host keeps its request logs. How long they live is set by Netlify and not by me, and I cannot delete them.

If you have booked a conversation, that booking is a record held by Calendly, and it reaches me. I will delete my copy on request.

Educational, not advice

This site shows what your numbers produce. It doesn't recommend what to do, and using it does not make you a client.

Getting in touch

Write to brian.patterson@acmwealth.com with any question about this page, including a request to delete the booking record described above. That is the route for a privacy question.
